Greetings, Champions.
There are a few things I have to address.
Firstly.
Attendance sucks. Forgive me for my crudeness, but it's the reality.
The situation: You don't regard AQ training seriously. What's the point of planning trainings if we don't use them to raise our chances of winning?
Take today's training for example. 8/15 of the AQ team came.
Examples of excuses: overslept or purely skipping the training.
I won't mention them by name.
But I know who are the slackers. Some of you think that you're physically good enough and you don't need the run. I say it's bullcrap. Everyone in the team has to, and will run.
I'll be finding a slot to base your very own 15km run.
Now, with reference to my training attendance list (Yes, I have one), only Ming Jun and I have been present for ALL of the trainings thus far.
None of you are special. Especially the Sec4s. I can personally call you, and you can dare to tell me you're not coming because you overslept.
What the heck have you been doing!? The rest of the team, more than half, can crawl out of bed to my training, yet you guys can't?
Meet me @ Concourse on Monday, Straight after school. I don't care if you're sec4 or not, LCP or SSG.
I want to
commend those that actually completed the entire course. And thank SGT Chia Hong for providing his help on Bike.
Everybody was rather fine, even though towards the end, our group of 8 became 7 and then slowly, we split the 7 into small pockets of pairs and trios.
The thing is, we must work to keep our running constant thruout. The first one to reach the finishing line doesn't count. It's the last person to dash across.
So maybe it would be more effective to run in groups of 4 i.e. the people ure in the same leg with. Nice idea from Jeremy. He was incidentally, slowed because of his injury. He fell down several times because of an old injury that acted up. For a moment, he was last in the entire run. Yet he overtook keng guan... He ran throughout, HEAT SPRAY in hand. Remarkable. Mind over matter. You all should be mentally strong. Ignore the pain and run.
Another thing is, I'll be using this blog to update the fitness and the progress of you guys with regard to ranking in the entire team. For those that can't complete the race or were absent in our 15km run or absent for 2 long runs are last.
It's not to mock you guys or what, but to let you know your standing in the team and that you need to work on your part to keep up.
There'll be a map reading training sometime in March, on a Friday. It is COMPULSORY. I want only MCs and real verifications of your absences. No more Mr. Nice Guy.
I've been slack on my part in collecting leaves of absences.
I want to apologize to those who have been faithfully coming.
Now those who did not turn up will have to pay back what they owe.
Dun mess with my tolerance.
The reason I did not emphasize too much on the discipline part was to let you guys run the race in a carefree mood and not be restricted by military style indoctrination. Since you have tested me so, I will not allow anymore nonsense.
Those who are sick, however, wil escape my wrath.
I will post again if there's anything else.
