Also, Bike collection time is between 4.30 to 6 pm. Prize Presentation is between 5 to 6.15 pm. A separate team to do the bike recovery is encouraged. Bikes not collected after 6 pm will be left there at your own risk. Therefore, the lorry will come at 4.30 and one team will go to retrieve the bikes, perhaps the reserve teams depending if they are coming back for the prize ceremony. If not, one team will go and load the bikes onto the lorry.

Next Monday(1/4/2008), there will be a meeting right after school. Those who are late will be punished. Those whom i rejected your excuse letter, please bring the proper A4 size excuse letter with dates in it with you and pass it up to me. Gentlemen,
once again, an important message. This Friday we shall have an AQ meeting at the concourse steps to give out the consent forms of AQ. Also, most importantly, all are to read the blog and BB web and also think of your own questions to ask us. We would like to compile all the questions and ask HQ so as to clear our doubts. You can ask questions such as is track pants compulsory, are cycling gloves compulsory etc.? Ask sensible questions as these questions will be sent to HQ and we would not want out reputation to be affected due to a silly question. All of you do ponder and ask all the questions you have seriously.

Gentlemen,
as we can see from the BB web, the start and end point for BB Adventure Quest 2008 is ITE College West (Dover Campus), 20 Dover Drive Singapore 138682.The bicycle drop-off and pick-up point is at the concrete space at the corner of Blk 16 Ghim Moh Road.Participants may begin reporting from 0500 hrs onwards, and must complete checking in by 0600 hrs.
Therefore, we will have to stay over night at school counseling center thus consent form will be issued soon, around Thursday or Friday, and hope all of you could pass it up on Saturday's rock wall climbing parade.
Secondly, group leaders are reminded to send me via email the roles of each member in your team by Thursday. Hope all of you would cooperate as i entrusted this responsibility on you and hope you will prove your worth. The common roles of the members are:
1) Navigator(1 person only)
2) Entertainer
3) Motivator(interlinked with entertainer)
- Motivator must set short term goal and push their men to go faster.
4) First Aider (keeps the first aid kit)
5) Bike repairer(keeps the bike repair kit)
6) Person with 1 mobile phone which has its number registered for the
Adventure Quest.(hopefully the group leader)
In addition, groups leaders also must send me the people going for the activities listed in the post on 23rd march. List down 2 people for each activity, but be prepared that all 4 in the group might have to do the activity.

These are all of the roles i can think of. If you have more roles which you can come up of, please tag on the tag board. But please do not shame yourself by tagging crap.
To remind you once again, your excuse letters are to be given to me. Those who have not, please refer to the names on the post below. Thank you.

Hello gentlemen,
important news! As asked by some boys, the activities shall be roughly the few stated below. The BB website has given some hint:

Activity Information

Information about the type of activities in each leg will not be fully disclosed, but here are some hints to help you prepare:

Leg 1 - On foot, 1 activity

Leg 2 - On bicycle & foot, 3 activities

I guess it will most likely be cycling, kayaking and rappelling. They asked for your kayaking and first aid stages so most likely these two elements will be in. In previous years, CPR, fire fighting, abseiling, rock wall climbing, archery were tested. So its better to be safe than sorry. Do practice these few elements of surprise just in case it surprises us. Also, please check the BB web for more information: Adventure Quest Race Information

Hello everybody,
today was a good training and it has certainly ensured everyone that we have a high chance of winning as shown from the results:

Position-----Team-----Timetaken-------Distance-----------------------Speed

----1-----------1-----1hr40mins15secs----12.9km----------------------7.80km/h

----2-----------2-----2hr19mins30secs----13.2km----------------------5.70km/h

----3-----------3-----2hr50mins45secs----14.2km(wrong route)------5.02km/h

----4-----------4-----3hr06mins35secs----14.2km----------------------4.58km/h

As you can see from the speed of each team, your improvements since the start of AQ is tremendous and i can see that all of you are putting in much more effort than before. The speed is extremely fast and we manage to obtain such good results despite the heavy rain which wasted a considerable amount of our time. The never say die spirit is obvious when i see all of you drenched with your poncho but still with no complains and showed to me the power of AQ08. Well Done AQ08! I have absolute faith in all of you that you all can win the race with ease.

Welcome to www.fourteen-adventure.blogspot.com. This is no doubt the 100th post of the entire AQ blog and will convey important messages about the last training. The last training have been postponed from Wednesday to Saturday due to a few reasons. Firstly, Wednesday is a school day and might not be ideal for a long training or else we would be dismissed very late. Also, the following day is Thursday which is common test. Therefore, the following will be the details:

Date: 22-3-2008(Saturday)
Time: Immediately after archery
Attire: Blue Pt Kit
Things to Bring:
1) Water/ Hydra pack (strongly encouraged)
2) Energy Food (strongly encouraged as we wont be eating after archery)
3) Bag
4) Sweets as distraction
5) Poncho(compulsory)
6) Do not bring snacks or coke, 100 plus or isotonic drink allowed.

This will be a full pack training and all the required logistics item will be distributed to all teams. The things to bring on your journey will be as similar to the actual AQ as possible. We will be running around 20km and hopefully, all of you will treat this training seriously as it will be a gauge how u guys will do during the actual race. This will test yourself on how fit you are and hope you will not deceive yourself. The actual AQ is only 14 days away. Good Luck.

Fellow members of AQ, I have important messages for all of you.

Firstly, do not purchase any choir concert tickets as the concert is on the same day as our competition. There would not be enough time to make it in time for the choir concert. Also, you would not have the mood for the concert after the race. If we win, we will be celebrating. If we lose, we will not have the mood to watch the concert. Thus, do not purchase any choir concert tickets.

Next, from what the HQ has said, we are only allowed to send two teams to run the boys leg. Therefore, the third team would be going for the open category. The third team consist of Zong Zuo, Edmund, Fabian and Glenn. The open team is running the same route as the boys team except they are competing with different people. It is more for exposure and fun rather than competing, but there will be still chances of winning as the people joining are unknown and might be weaker than the boys. And if we do win the open category, the honor and prizes you receive would be even greater than the boys team. Even if you lose, you would only gain more experience and lose nothing.

Thirdly, some of you are absent during trainings but did not hand up excuse letter. Those who hand up blank piece of paper and ask me to help you fill in the dates, I am afraid I cant do that as i will be forging your parents handwriting. So please note the names of the people and the dates you are absent, and hand up your excuse letter . The attendance of your AQ will affect your promotion. If your attendance for parade cannot make it, the attendance for AQ will be able to help you. Your company post would also depend on your commitment to AQ and your responsibility to attend AQ trainings would also be considered.

The people are:
NAME DATES Reasons
Glenn Yeo 5th March Hip problem

Sean Hui 21st November ??
