Firstly, I'd like to thank Ming Jun's friend for spending so much time and effort to come up with such an amazing blogskin. Many people have seen it and tagged about how beautiful it is, and I can see why. Nice one MJ.

Ok, now while everyone is recovering from Saturday's Ball-hurting experience, I hope that Xiao Yu's lessons about Biking are useful to you guys in the race. He taught us to adjust our Bikes to suit us, how to travel on terrain like sand and that rocky breakwater, and how to draft and form up.
These are the people selected for Biking:
Positions are more or less fixed.

PURE CYCLING LEG Wu Xiao Yu
Jeremy Ang Chuan Hwen
Alwyn Wong Kwan Kin
Chia Cherng Ru

TEAM BIATHLON (2 ppl run, 2 ppl cycle)Lau Song Leng
Tan Juan Jie
Tan Kah Kee
Joel Ng Wei Xin

These are the select 8 people who have to attend further Biking trainings. There'll be 2 more.
As for the rest of the team, u all are vying amongst each other for positions in the Running leg and the opportunity to cross the finishing line and raise up OUR trophy. So u guys have to buck up so that you would earn a place in the last leg. Every Leg is infinitely important. Everyone plays an important role. You should stick to your partners and be the best AS A TEAM.

Now to the training, some of you have expressed surprise when I announce that there would be Aq training at any point of time. I find it ridiculous. I have printed schedules of our trainings for all of you earlier this year. So all of you should be aware of the training dates, unless there are any last minute changes and HQ events. So in future, Pls take note of the schedule.

Tomorrow, there'll be AQ training.
Attire-wise: PE t-shirt and any shorts.
Bring your water bottle.
Meet @ Concourse at 3pm. Training would last a short while.

There would be another training at the end of this week. More details tomorrow.
And as many of us are having tutorials and tea with our respective subject teachers. So we may have to sit down and rearrange the training schedules.

Guys, I have one comment about the training on Saturday. I understand that there was no debrief, so I'll do one online. And one tomorrow.

The mistake made by the ICs was the lack of preparation. There was no First Aid Kit to tend to the injuries some of you sustained, however minor or serious. There was also very little notice given about the training. But overall, the training went along smoothly and I want to thank you all for bearing with us.
The same old problem however, with you all was the lack of respect for ure IC. Xiao Yu was having a hard time getting u all to respond to him.
If that happens in the race and there is no communication or responsiveness, how are we going to gauge the conditions of one another? I want u guys to eliminate external distractions from your AQ training, so that you won't miss out anything we say.

One more thing, if in any case, any one of you do not make it into the first team, do not think that its because you're lousy or any stupid reason. When I disclose the team names, there are still liable to change. I want you guys to have the attitude that even though you're not running physically, you are part of the team and of AQ 2006. The Winning Team of AQ 2006.
There will be another chance for us to win. And when old dogs like me retire, new underdogs and undiscovered heroes will emerge. Who of the old team will remain? I hope everybody. And who of the new batch would join? I hope everyone too. We need a big pool of talents to heighten the possibilities of us winning.
And we already have that.
Believe me, I'm having a headache deciding who should get the places in the team. Your general attitude and your performance and your skills in certain areas may help you. But whatever it is, I want you guys to keep the faith.

The juniors may not all get to take part. Even the seniors may not all be in the race. What's important is what you take from this AQ and bring to next year's. You gain fitness, experience and fun. Doing this with your batch and your seniors is a chance you might not get again. So cherish AQ 2006.

And rehearse how you cross the finishing line AS A TEAM.
